[ Zàijiā ]

Érzi: Mā, shūzhuō shàng de táidēng zěnme bújiànle?

Māma: Bèi nǐ dìdi ná zǒule. Tā ná dào xuéxiào qùle. Tāmen bān yào biǎoyǎn jiémù. Wǔtái shàng xūyào yígè táidēng.

Érzi: Wǔtái shàng fàng zhēn de táidēng ma?

Māma: Duì. Wǔtái shàng yǒu gè zhuōzi. Zhuōzi shàng yǒu gè táidēng. Pángbiān yǒu gè chuānghu. Chuāngtái shàng hái yǒu yìpénhuā. Chuānghu wàimiàn shì yángtái.

Érzi: Tāmen biǎoyǎn shénme jiémù?

Māma: Wǒ wàngle jiào shénme míngzi.

Érzi: Dìdi yǎn shénme?

Māma: Tā yǎn yì kē dàshù.

Érzi: Zhēn kělián! Jìngrán lián yíjù táicí dōu méiyǒu.

Māma: Hái hǎo tā xǐhuān yǎn shù. Yǎn shù yě búcuò. Nǐ bàba xiǎoshíhou yě yǎnguò shù.

Érzi: Wǒ zhǐ zhīdào bàba xiǎoshíhou xǐhuān dǎ táiqiú, méi xiǎngdào tā hái yǎnguò shù. Kàn lái háishì wǒ bǐjiào huì biǎoyǎn.

Māma: Duì! Nǐ shì zánmen jiā zuì huì biǎoyǎn de!

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE DIALOGUE

[ At home ]

Son: Mom, what happened to the desk lamp?

Mom: It was taken away by your little brother. He took it to school. There will be a show in his class and they need a desk lamp on the stage.

Son: Do they put a real desk lamp on the stage?

Mom: Right. There is a table on the stage with a desk lamp on it and a window next to it. And there is a plant on the windowsill. It's a balcony outside the window.

Son: What show do they put on?

Mom: I forgot the name of the show.

Son: What does my little brother play?

Mom: He plays a big tree.

Son: That's pathetic! He doesn't even have one line.

Mom: Luckily, he likes playing that tree. It's not bad to play a tree. Your Dad also had played a tree when he was little.

Son: I only knew that my Dad liked to play billiards when he was little, never thought that he had played a tree before. It seems that I am good at acting in our family.

Mom: Yes! You are the best at acting in our family!
